Ashley Bird (President & Treasurer)

Ashley Bird is the Program Director at Charleston Krav Maga & MMA. Originally from the north she studied at Castleton State College in Vermont where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Psychology and an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Ashley has always had a passion for helping people and giving back to the community. Through high school she volunteered with the Vermont Governor’s Commission on Women, Relay for Life, and Green-Up Vermont. Once out of college she started a Human Resources position with Bruegger’s Enterprises in Burlington, Vermont where she headed their Neighborhood Commitment Program. She worked with Ronald McDonald House, VT City Marathon, Howard Center, Shelburne Farms, Habitat for Humanity, Dismas House, VT Rape Crisis Center and Toys for Tots. After several years with Bruegger’s, Ashley decided it was time for a change of scenery (and weather) and moved to Charleston, South Carolina where for the past several years has become a Level 5 Krav Maga student and instructor, fitness instructor, and Co-Founder of Charleston Fight for HOPE.
